Wessa.net is rapidly growing and evolving. It is very important to have old versions available for the purpose of error tracking, and reproducability of published research. In future we intend to enable users to store a compendium of data, links to the appropriate versions of employed software modules, and accompanying texts in html or pdf format.

The following old versions are available :
  • 1.1.21-r4 - This is a stable version that was used until August 2007. With funding from the K.U.Leuven Association a Compendium Platform is being developed for the purpose of archiving statistical computations that can be reproduced and reused with R modules (http://www.freestatistics.org/). The new Wessa.net version (1.1.22) seamlessly integrates this Compendium Platform (incl. archive and retrieval of statistical computations).
  • 1.1.20 - The framework for R Modules was introduced in this version. Thanks to the feedback from a large number of users we were able to improve and extend the R Framework. The new version (1.1.21) offers some exciting new features that will bring us closer to a compendium publishing environment.
  • 1.1.19 - This version was mainly used to test the new framework for R Modules. Even though this is a stable version, we are able to release the next version much sooner than anticipated, introducing some exciting new features such as: a history list, improved user interface, improved management of R servers (load balancing), and various under-the-hood improvements.
  • 1.1.18 - This is a stable release that was used during the first half of the year 2006. It also contains the first few R Modules that were introduced for testing purposes. The higher version (1.1.19) adds the first release of the R Modules framework.
  • 1.1.17 - This is the first version in the archive. At present there are no known bugs in this version. The higher version (1.1.18) adds various types of new features such as: news, faq, easier color switching, better naviagtion, ...

The versions in this archive will be stored as long as (internet) technology allows it to be executed.
