September 14, 2006, 2:34 pm : News feed from BBC News

Today we added a news feed from the BBC News services. Articles are all related to Statistical Research. We welcome your feedback about this feature...

September 6, 2006, 3:07 pm : New sections

Today we launched two new sections: Statistical Distributions (Random Generation and Distribution Fitting), and Reproducible Results (interesting examples from various articles and textbooks). In the next days (and weeks) a collection of new R modules will be published in these sections.

September 3, 2006, 2:30 pm : R Modules Framework v1.0.0 BETA

After many months of hard work we are proud to release the new framework for R Modules (v.1.0.0 BETA). During the next few weeks we will test the Framework and release new features. The final (stable) release should be ready before November 2006.

Please, send your suggestions or questions to the R Modules forum.

September 1, 2006, 6:11 am : Buffer overflow bugfix

We installed a bugfix for the buffer overflow problem (when using long data series) in the Harrell-Davies module. Many thanks to John J. Ely, Ph.D. who enabled us to reproduce the problem!

NOTE: the same problem still exists in bivariate modules (bivariate kernel density, and Kendall tau rank correlation). We hope to fix this problem soon.

September 1, 2006, 5:46 am : Major Update in progress

We are planning a major update of the R modules framework. This allows users to register as author and publish their software in the form of R modules (readily accessible by internet users through web interfaces without the need to download or install anything). The update will be gradually installed during the next few days. There will be (very) short periods of downtime during the update.

June 15, 2006, 7:37 am : Increased memory

User session memory has been increased on the new servers. We thank Caroline M. for pointing out this problem.

May 4, 2006, 7:45 am : Bug fix (sorting algorithm)

The sorting order was reversed in some computations - due to a faulty system parameter (text sorting instead of numerical sorting). This led to various types of errors. We believe that the error occured during the last server update - we apologize for any inconvenience. Special thanks to Peter S. who enabled us to find the cause of the problem!

February 5, 2006, 2:34 am : Improvements and fixes

A few (small) problems in the mathematical equation plotter, and multiple regression module have been fixed. Descriptive modules have been clearly grouped in univariate, bivariate, and trivariate categories.

January 12, 2006, 4:33 pm : New Modules

Three new modules were released during the past week: Financial Trading Performance, Univariate Kernel Density Estimation, and Bivariate Kernel Density Estimation. The modules can be found in the finance and descriptive statistics sections.

December 23, 2005, 11:50 am : Version 1.1.18 released

A new version was released today with new features that have been suggested by the many users who send their feedback - thank you! Some highlights: improved navigation, scalable charts, white en blue themes (now available everywhere), more input fields, better design of output reports, etc...
